Wasshoi Summer Festival

"Wasshoi Summer Festival" is the largest festival of Kitakyushu City. It started in 1988 with the 25th anniversary of Kitakyushu City, hoping for matching citizens' mind.
Every year "Wasshoi Summer Festival" has been developing little by little.
Many groups with both children and adults are participating in the "Opening Parade". In "Festival Large Set - Natsumatsuri Daishugo" various summer festivals in and outside of the city are held in one place. Over 10,000 people gather in "Hyakuman Dance".
From 16th festival, "Wasshoi Yosakoi Kitakyushu" has started and the dancers' passionate dances with "NARUKO" roll the spectator in the whirlpool of the excitement.
Finale of the festival, "Collaboration of Fireworks ,Castle and City Illumination" we can enjoy the "Summer Dream".
